The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Warriors Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group reach places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Questers and Planners tables.

Fans can expect discovering which players will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
