The New Manager's Hiring

Potter took over by Sweden originally on a short-term basis on 20 October, less than a month following leaving by the Hammers

Previous manager the Danish coach was fired following Sweden's defeat against Kosovo on 13 October, a result that ended straight qualification from qualifying group unattainable

Present Situation

Sweden are currently last place of Group B having only a single point in four matches

Even if they fail to finish second, they could still be involved in the secondary qualification due to of their performance during the previous UEFA competition
