A man from Australia who jumped past a barrier and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been deported and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, aged 26, was handed a penalty to over a week in jail for being a public nuisance and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority stated to news outlets.

The man shoved beyond security and approached aggressively the performer and artist, who was participating in the Asian premier for the musical adaptation on 13 November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

He has a background of interrupting performances and star-studded occasions, including leaping onto the platform at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in the past June.

The occurrence sparked outrage in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The singer has discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at her show in the UK city in May 2017 took the lives of 22 people and hurt numerous attendees.

Throughout the court proceedings, the judge was informed he had attempted to intrude on the film's premiere multiple times, according to regional reports.

He then made a follow-up try to jump the barricades. Event security stopped him and pinned him down.

He then uploaded recordings thanking Grande for permitting his access and said he was "released."

Law enforcement detained him the subsequent day and brought charges against him with causing a disturbance, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge the judicial official was referenced by a news outlet as saying that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was incorrect to think he would not suffer any consequences.

The actress has not addressed the incident.

The co-star discussed the situation to a media outlet, remarking that she "simply desired to ensure my friend was safe."

"I believe he didn't intend us danger, but you cannot be certain with these incidents, and I sought to confirm that she was OK. That was my initial reaction," she commented.
