American actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved programs like Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has passed away at the age of 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles recently having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, according to news outlets.
"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones stated in a announcement.
They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive TV Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the titular character's brother.
He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several hit series, like:

- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- "House"
His most famous role for portraying the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.
"He guided, supported, and advised many learners throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his relatives stated.
Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote publicly.
Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
